Starlink, the satellite internet provider which is backed by Elon Musk's SpaceX has registered itself in India. They have big plans for rural districts of India.
The Indian head of starting recently said in an statement that it will soon start approaching Jio and Vodafone Idea for collaborating with Starlink for the Indian Business.
Starlink is a global satellite internet providers, which is owned by Elon Musk who is know for his future plannings. It is said to change the whole world with its fast internet connections.
The company is planning to deploy around 200,000 active terminals in India till 2022. The broadband service is initially targeting the Rural India.
The collaboration with telcos can bring a revolutionary era to India. Most probably the collaboration is to tie up with the existing companies for the outlet support in India.
It will reportedly start talks with Jio and Vodafone Idea soon, The India Head Sanjay Bhargava said.
What is Starlink ?
So, it is basically a broadband provider, owned by SpaceX and backed by Elon Musk. SpaceX is launching small satellites to make a lower orbit chain of satellites which will provide you internet.
