•First, Go to the profile of that user. Click on the menu and see an option called 'Restrict', click on it.
•Then go the messaging section, refresh the page.
•You will see 'requests' on top right corner, click on it.
•You'll see the users message just like the request of an unknown user messaging you appears.
•Now you can have a look at the messages and the person will not get that label of seen.
Before unrestricting them, make sure you turn the flight mode on and don't open their chats again unless you want them to know that you have actually seen the message.
